Mott Community College has named its new president. According to NBC 25, Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea will take over as president next month replacing Dr. Richard Shank who is retiring after 14 years. The school's Board of Trustees announced the decision on Monday. Walker-Griffea becomes Mott's seventh president, and the first woman and African American to lead the college. Walker-Griffea comes from Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland where she is serving as Senior Vice President of Student Services.
