Saturday, April 27th is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and the Michigan State Police are opening up drop off locations.

There has been a huge focus lately on properly disposing of prescription medication. Major pharmacies and retailers have even set up drop off bins in their stores. Even with the bigger focus, I had no idea that there was a national take back day dedicated to it.

Luckily someone at the Michigan State Police knew about the day, because they are setting up drop off locations at all 30 Michigan State Police posts.

You can find the State Police post closest to you here.

You should know that the collection is for pills only. The police are not accepting liquids, syringes, inhalers or patches of any kind.

If you have any questions, you can contact your local state police post for more information.
