On Wednesday, Michigan's Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley posted a series of videos detailing his positions on the November 6 ballot proposals.

In a press release, Calley said "the ballot proposals citizens will vote on have potentially negative consequences for our state and could roll back much of the progress we are making to reinvent Michigan."

Calley added that Proposal 1, however, is necessary to keep the state's emergency manager law saying "the emergency manager law serves as a critical tool and an early warning system for local governments and school districts that have fallen into financial crisis. It is necessary to ensure children's education and services for citizens, and plays an important role in our state's comeback."
