If you're looking for a temporary job this spring and summer, this lighthouse gig off the Lake Huron coast could be perfect for you.

According to WDIV, the state is accepting applications from people who want to be temporary lighthouse keepers at the Tawas Point Lighthouse.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen a needed position for a lighthouse keeper in Michigan. It's just something you don't see very often.

If you're the lucky applicant that is picked, you'll have to pay $75 and put in roughly 70 hours of service over two weeks. In exchange, you get to live in the lighthouse keeper’s quarters. You must be at least 18 years old and agree to lead lighthouse tours and take on other duties during a minimum two-week stay.

I guess now knowing you have to pay $75, it doesn't seem so awesome especially if you're in need of a job that actually pays you. I think this would be a better fit gig for someone who's retired and not necessarily in need of money.

Applications will be accepted through Feb. 1. The application and more information are available at http://michigan.gov/tawaslighthouse.
