Legendary Flint Broadcaster Bill Lamb Dies
Flint legend and record store owner Bill Lamb passed away on Tuesday (4/14). Lamb hosted the 'Buick Factory Whistle' on WKMF-AM (now WFNT) from 1960 until 1984.
In 2010, Michigan Magazine profiled the legendary Flint Broadcaster in the video below.
Lamb's son Jeff, who hosts a morning radio show in Toledo, broke the news of his Father's death on his Facebook page.
"I lost my Dad about two hours ago. He was a great man. A broadcasting legend in Flint, MI and most importantly, my hero. He took his last year like a man, never complaining, never being mean or nasty despite what was happening to him. I love you, Dad. Rest in Heaven and kiss Mom for me!"
Visitation for Lamb is Saturday (4/18) from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by the service at 1 pm, at Swartz Funeral Home on Hill Rd.
