A suspect has been arrested after abandoning a puppy in a porta-potty at Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc. The dog was trapped in the porta-potty for days before being discovered.
The Grand Blanc Township Police Department shared the video below after the dog was rescued by an employee of the porta-potty company doing maintenance on the units.
Meet Hank - Rescued from a Porta-Potty in Grand Blanc
Jacob Kross is the Good Samaritan who came to the pup's rescue when he was doing his rounds at Bicentennial Park. He and his wife Jenna are now caring for the dog, whose name is Hank.
"This video is the day he was found and first came into our house. He is very much loved and taken care of now. He was super skinny, [and] underweight when my husband found him," Kross said. "He was covered in [his] own feces when my husband found him."

Jenna, commenting on the Grand Blanc Township PD's Facebook post, noted that Hank is eating and putting on some much-needed weight. The video below was taken the day Hank was rescued, shortly after he'd been fed and given a bath.
Suspect in Custody
Chief Redding with the Grand Blanc Township Police Department says a 25-year-old suspect from Grand Blanc Township has been arrested for animal cruelty. The suspect's name has not yet been released, prior to her arraignment.
Redding goes on to say the suspect said she abandoned Hank because her landlord would not permit a pitbull to be on the property.
In the video below, Chief Redding notes the importance of caring for animals properly and bringing them inside when the weather gets cold.
