Michigan Singles Are Ditching Dating Apps for These February Speed Dating Nights

It’s called My Speed Dating Live, and it’s bringing two high-energy, laugh-filled events to the area this February.

How Does My Speed Dating Live Work?

Unlike the speed dating you might be picturing, this isn’t awkward, stiff, or painfully quiet. My Speed Dating Live mixes structured matchmaking with a live host, fun trivia prompts, and six-minute mini-dates that keep things light, flirty, and moving. The trivia does the ice-breaking for you. No forced small talk, no pressure, and no pretending you love dating apps.

Participants rotate through short conversations with up to 20 potential matches, guided the whole way. Best case scenario, you leave with real chemistry. Worst case, you laugh, meet new people, and actually enjoy your night out.

Where and When to Attend My Speed Dating Live in Mid-Michigan

The events are happening February 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Draft Bar & Grille in Swartz Creek, and February 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bottoms Up Food & Spirits in Holly.

Tickets include admission, a free soft drink, a mutual match form, and follow-up after the event so guests will know if sparks flew on both sides. There’s also a little friendly competition built in. The top male and female trivia scorers will each win a $30 gift card to the hosting venue.
