When something cool happens in Detroit, local rapper Gmac Cash is there to celebrate, and today he's honoring the Gritty Tigs with a new song to celebrate their spot in the American League Division Series.

The Tigers landed in the ALDS last week, the first time the tribe has seen playoff action in 10 years. The Motor City Kitties essentially turned things around late in the season, rebounding from a 55 to 63 record in mid August to win 31 of their last 42 regular season games.

Although the Tigers fell 7-0 to the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday (10/5), their playoff hopes are still alive. Game two of the best-of-five series is today (10/07) at 4:08 PM at Progressive Field.

Who is Gmac Cash?

Gmac Cash (born Gerald Allen) is a Detroit native who turns headlines relevant to the Motor City into song. His lyrics are usually supportive, but sometimes poke fun at whatever is on the minds of Detroiters. His ode to Governor Gretchen Whitmer caught fire in 2020, just as the pandemic was tightening its grip on Michigan - hence the nickname 'Big Gretch.'

He stood in support of striking UAW members in 2022 with his viral clip 'We Going on Strike' but wasn't afraid to chide the city of Detroit for putting up the often-maligned Detroit sign before the NFL Draft came to town and wasted no time creating a video to make fun of Belle Isle's giant slide which was shut down due to safety concerns.

So when the Detroit Tigers made it into postseason play for the first time in a decade, Gmac Cash was all over it. Take a listen to 'Tigers Won Again' below.

Oh, and if you're familiar with Gmac Cash, I shouldn't have to tell you the clip is not just a little NSFW.

Take a Peek Inside Eminem's Sprawling Michigan Mansion

For a cool $3.23 million, you could own this beautiful mansion that was once owned by Eminem and the former CEO of Kmart.

Or, for no money whatsoever, you can take a look at the pictures.

Be sure to check out the guest house (toward the end) and a couple of bathrooms that strike us as just a bit odd.

These Michigan Restaurants Have All Sadly Closed Since Appearing on National TV

You'd think an appearance on a national TV show like Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives or Restaurant: Impossible would guarantee success for a restaurant.

That hasn't been the case for these six restaurants, all of which have closed after being featured on national television.
