Davison, MI Drivers Expect Delays on M-15 During Construction
Travelers going north or south on M-15 to Davison or Otisville are in for somewhat of a nightmare. Traffic is always incredibly slow, heavy and delayed during rush hour along the mostly two-lane highway between the two towns. Making a left turn is hell-ish on a summer Friday, especially a holiday weekend.

What's happening on M-15 in Davison Township?
Michigan Department of Transportation is starting a massive project along M-15 from Richfield Road to Potter Road in Davison Township. This will allow for a turn lane to be added along that stretch of roadway.
Having grown up in Otisville, I wish they'd add a turn lane to the entire stretch of M-15 from Davison to Vassar where it becomes a four-lane divided highway. There's nothing worse than getting behind a slow driver or giant farm equipment when all you'd like to do is drive the 55mph speed limit.

Additional work during M-15 Construction in Davison Township
Genesee County Road Commission's communication also says the M-DOT project will include:
- Culvert replacement at Bird Drain
- Improvement of sight distance at M-15 and Coldwater Road (a nerve-wracking intersection when trying to turn left or right on to M-15 because you're afraid a car will be careening over the hill.)
- Resurfacing of M-15 for seven miles along portions of the highway within Genesee County.

Full closure of M-15 is not expected. Lane closures and traffic shifts will happen throughout the project.
Avoid M-15 to save time
You can utilize Irish Road a bit further west of M-15, or Oak Road to the east, to avoid delays and the work zone. Work will begin Monday May 1st and should be wrapped up by the end of September. If I had a way to gift you extra patience, know I would.
