Celebrate Snow On Genesee County’s Best Sledding Hills
Soon, snow will pile up around Mid-Michigan. It's already happening in the Upper Peninsula -- Some areas received over a foot of snow in the last couple of days!
While it might be a few more weeks before Genesee County gets enough snow to blow, it's time to start preparing to enjoy winter on Michigan's best sledding hills in Genesee County.
Where can I go sledding near Davison, MI?
Davison has a couple of my all-time favorites. Tobaggan Hill (huge hill!) and Davison Hogbacks are near each other off Washburn Road. These were the hills we always wanted to be on for heavy snow days. Richfield County Park is a good spot, too -- Irish Road between Mt. Morris & Coldwater Roads.

Where can we sled around Burton, MI?
In Burton look for Kelly Lake Park. You can see it from I-69. Munson Street & Lapeer Road will get you there. Davison Roadside Park isn't bad either --technically, that's in Burton on Davison Road just east of Belsay Road near Brookwood Golf Club.
Where can kids go sledding in Grand Blanc, MI?
Grand Blanc's Creasey Bicentennial Park is another favorite. The giant hill you see as you drive in is fantastic when covered in snow! Look for the park on Grand Blanc Road just before the I-75 overpass.
Swartz Creek's spot is Elms Park located at Yarmy Drive and Elms Road. Don't worry, they keep the nearby dog park separate!
Montrose Barber Park has a medium size hill for sledding -- to be honest in that part of the county, snowmobiling seems like much more fun! Find the park at Seymour Road and M-57 behind the township offices. If you're closer to Clio -- the City Park off M-57 (Vienna St) and Clio Road is a winter favorite.
In the southern part of Genesee County, Linden County Park is the place for great sledding. Look for it across from Clover Beach & Byram Lake. Don't forget Holly Township Parks & Rec and Mt Holly for Skiing & Snowboarding.
Where can I go sledding around Flint, MI?
Finally, in Flint and Flint Township you have many to choose from: Kearsley Park is one of the favorite places with a great hill... Thread Lake Park just south of I-69. Mott Park is great for pulling the little ones on a sled.
