Is Yaya's Bay City on Euclid open?

It's been a long-time coming, but the new restaurant down the street from Discount Tire is finally open in Bay City. This location is even equipped with a drive-thru. So, you can eat healthy (if you choose) and get right back to work or head home without leaving your car.

The whole concept of Yaya's has been around Michigan for a few decades. It's fresh, never frozen, flame broiled chicken. Most of the dishes on the menu are made with their famous chicken. The pita bread is so soft, dressings and sides are flavorful. If you want spicy or BBQ, they do that, too.

Where are Yaya's locations?

Yaya's started around Flint. They've expanded and contracted over the years. Their current locations include:

• Saginaw
• Midland
• Flint
• Grand Blanc
• Lansing (temporarily closed for renovations)
• Florida: St. Petersburg and Clearwater

The Florida locations are the only two franchised outside of Michigan.

The only downside to Yaya's... they don't have spanakopita as a homemade side anymore. For your next gathering, you might want to try their catering for something different. Pro-tip: No matter what you order, get mashed potatoes as a side -- the gravy is on point.
