Woman Stabbed Multiple Times in Random Attack at Michigan Dollar Tree

You can’t even walk into a Dollar Tree and pick up a few things without worrying about being randomly attacked. Seriously, this is disturbing on so many levels.

A 62-year-old woman is fighting for her life after police say she was stabbed multiple times while shopping at a Dollar Tree in Inkster.

According to WDIV, the attack happened around 3:15 Monday afternoon at the Dollar Tree near Cherry Hill and Inkster roads.

Police say the woman was simply shopping when a 22-year-old man grabbed a knife from one of the store shelves and stabbed her multiple times. Witnesses said the attack appeared to be completely random and unprovoked.

Think about that. She was apparently minding her own business and doing nothing more than shopping when, out of nowhere, this guy allegedly started stabbing her. It’s a really awful thing to even think about.

Suspect Arrested After Inkster Dollar Tree Stabbing

Inkster police rushed to the store and took the 22-year-old suspect into custody.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she remained in critical condition. Police haven’t released her name or said what may have led to the stabbing.

It’s hard to wrap your head around something like this. One minute, she’s shopping in the middle of the afternoon, and the next, her life is completely turned upside down.

Police are still investigating and say they’ll release more details when they can.
