For some reason, a new restaurant in Grand Blanc has been receiving a lot of hate from customers since it opened recently.

It's no secret that folks on social media tend to be a bit more negative than the average person, especially when it comes to new businesses. But the backlash against this Grand Blanc restaurant seems to go beyond the usual nitpicking. So, what’s really going on?

Wingstop opened recently in Grand Blanc, and for some reason, the haters are being very vocal about their dislike for the place. This week, someone posted on the Grand Blanc Uncensored page on Facebook, basically saying that Wingstop needs to shut down immediately. It seemed a little overdramatic, but I was really surprised to see all the negative comments that followed. This wasn’t the first time this has happened, either.

Facebook User:

Yes, they are terrible man. Wait time, bad service, and uncooked food. They do one thing.

Facebook User:

I picked some up for a friend the other night. Waited for over 45 minutes while a young female employee stood there yelling back and forth with a customer. When I walked in, the young girl sitting in a chair at the register didn't look up from her phone and just mumbled welcome to Wing Stop.

Facebook User:

It is awful

While many people agreed with the negative comments, others defended the restaurant, saying the wings and service were great.

I think it’s gross when people use social media to attack a business. If you don’t like something, just don’t go back. There’s no need to verbally assault a place just because you had a bad experience. I know, it's social media and that's what people do, but that doesn't mean it’s okay or productive. Tearing down a business publicly can hurt not just the owners, but also the employees who rely on their jobs. Instead, why not offer constructive feedback directly to the business? You might be surprised how willing they are to make things right.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never ordered from Wingstop and don’t know much about their service or the quality of their food. However, my son was there the other day, brought home leftovers, and put them in the fridge. Like a typical dad, while he wasn’t looking, I stole a few pieces of his boneless wings—ya know, for research. Granted, I only had a couple of cold leftover pieces, but I thought they were fantastic.

Maybe one day I'll stop in and try it out. If my experience is rather unpleasant, I just won't go back.
