If you’re trying to figure out how to watch the Detroit Tigers this season, you’re definitely not alone. This has been a yearly headache for a lot of us, and yeah…it's pretty annoying. But there might actually be some relief this time around.

It used to be Bally Sports. Then it became FanDuel. So is that just gone now? Not exactly…just not for the Tigers anymore.

For 2026, the Tigers have a brand new home called Detroit SportsNet, and yeah, it’s something completely different…again.

Where to Watch Detroit Tigers Games in 2026

Detroit SportsNet is the new home for Tigers games, powered by MLB and launched by Ilitch Sports + Entertainment. It’s where you’ll find most locally televised games this season.

The biggest change is how you watch.

If you’re streaming, you’ll need a Detroit SportsNet subscription, about $19.99 a month or $189.99 for the year, and you’ll watch everything through the MLB app. I struggled a bit finding it, but after a couple of temper tantrums and a few swear words, I finally got there. You can subscribe here.

Bonus: Your subscription will also include Detroit Red Wings games…just not until next season.

Cable options are coming too, but not every provider has it locked in yet.

Can You Finally Watch Every Game?

This is really the part we all care about.

For the most part, the blackout headache is finally gone. If you subscribe, you can stream Tigers games locally without getting blocked like before.

But…there’s still a catch. There’s always a catch.

National games on ESPN, FOX, or Apple TV Plus aren’t included, so if you want every single game, you’re still stuck juggling multiple services. Like I said earlier…annoying.
