Things spiraled out of control quickly during Monday night's high school basketball game between Vassar and Flint Southwestern players.

What Happened During the Vassar-Flint Southwestern Game?

With just 29 seconds left, things got ugly fast between a Vassar player and a Flint Southwestern Academy player, according to ABC 12. Shoving, punches, players off the bench, and fans on the court. Game over.

It was a real mess on the court. Once things finally settled, one player from each team was escorted off in what appeared to be handcuffs. Officials decided to end the game right there. Honestly, probably the right call.

Vassar’s superintendent says the district is taking this seriously and working with Flint Southwestern, the Michigan High School Athletic Association, and police to figure out what went wrong.

The Michigan High School Athletic Association confirmed multiple players were ejected for leaving the bench, which carries automatic suspensions for the next game.
