For years, this has been one of those Davison rumors that never seemed to die. Someone would swear they heard Target was coming, social media would light up for a minute, and then… nothing. Rinse and repeat.

Well, this time it actually feels different.

The long-rumored Davison Target is now listed on Target’s upcoming store openings page, which is about as real as it gets without a ribbon-cutting date.

Where in Davison Will Target Be Located?

According to the listing, the future store would be located at the northwest corner of S. Irish Road and Lapeer Road and would span roughly 128,600 square feet. That’s not a small-format store. That’s a full-size Target.

If you’ve lived here long enough, you probably learned not to get your hopes up when this rumor pops up. It’s been floating around for years. But seeing it quietly appear on Target’s own website is a pretty big shift from “someone heard something.”

Now, to be clear, there’s still no opening date and no official announcement beyond the listing itself. Construction timelines, permits, and all the usual hurdles still apply.

Still, this is the strongest sign yet that the Target everyone’s been talking about may finally be on its way to Davison. After all this time, it might actually be happening.
