The new fast-food hotspot will open at 1040 South Lapeer Road (M-24) near Belle Tire in Lapeer. Comments on social media have varied about when the restaurant is expected to open.

Although an exact opening date has not been announced, a source says the new Popeyes will likely open within the next few weeks.

Social media is buzzing with excitement over the upcoming grand opening. For those who have never dined at Popeyes, the restaurant is known for its bold, Louisiana-style fried chicken. Guests can enjoy popular chicken sandwich options along with a variety of Southern-style sides, including red beans and rice, mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and more.
