Michigan Man Wins $1 Million on Scratch-Off Suggested by Cashier
An Oakland County man has a gas station clerk to thank for his recent $1 milllion Michigan Lottery win.
According to Michigan Lottery Connect, the 62-year-old man, who wishes to remain anonymous, hit the jackpot playing Ruby 7s.
I picked out several different scratch-off tickets while I was at the store, and as the clerk was grabbing them off the rolls, she asked if I wanted a Ruby 7s ticket too, so I said why not? I started scratching the tickets when I got in my car and went into shock when I saw a $1 million win on the Ruby 7s ticket. My daughter was with me, so I showed her the ticket, and she nearly hit her head on the roof of the car from jumping up with excitement!
I would be jumping with excitement too if I scored $1 million on a $10 ticket. The winning ticket was purchased at Speedway on South Rochester Road in Rochester.

Like most Michigan Lottery winners, the lucky man chose to take a one-time payment of roughly $693,000.
As for what he will be doing with his winnings, the plan is to start college funds for his kids, buy a house, and have fun with the rest. That sounds like a solid plan to me.

Maybe one day I will be writing a Michigan Lottery winner article about you - or, even better, about me. I would not mind seeing my own name in one of these stories for a change.
