
When Will Michigan See Its First Snowfall This Year?
It won’t be long before we’re out shoveling driveways, getting stuck in the snow, and whining about the freezing temps. But when will we actually see some snow in Michigan?
Technically, Michigan has already come face-to-face with the white stuff this year. And no, we’re not talking January or February. The Upper Peninsula actually saw a little snow in early September, just a light dusting, but still enough to remind us what’s coming soon.

I always thought it was weird that winter doesn’t actually begin until December 21, yet we usually get a nice blanket of snow well before that. I say that, but the past few years, Mother Nature’s been pretty easy on us when it comes to snowfall.
When Will Michigan See Its First Snowfall This Year?
Let’s not sugarcoat the fact that no one can really predict exactly when we’re going to get our first snowfall until we’re about 10 days out. However, based on past years and early forecasts, we’ve got a pretty good idea of when those first flakes might start flying across Michigan.
Direct Weather says Michigan will feel the chill in early and late November, but the heavy stuff won’t hit until late December. Sounds like we might actually get that white Christmas. Honestly, that’s the only time I actually enjoy the snow.
