An opening date for the new Jack in the Box in Battle Creek has been announced.

The highly anticipated spot will open on Monday, June 15th, 2026, at 2588 Capital Avenue SW, 49015. This is not the only Jack in the Box location opening in the Great Lakes State.

According to the Jack in the Box website, a new Westland location is expected to open in September 2026. Additional Jack in the Box restaurants are planned for the following Michigan counties:

  • Kent County
  • Kalamazoo County
  • Calhoun County

If you have never been to Jack in the Box, you are not alone. The chain hasn't had a presence in Michigan since the 1970s, so for many Michiganders, this will be their first chance to try it.

The menu is all over the place, in a good way. I'm talking burgers, tacos, chicken sandwiches, crispy chicken strips, curly fries, and breakfast items served all day. The chain is also known for its loaded sandwiches, mini tacos, milkshakes, and desserts.

MLive reports that the new Battle Creek Jack in the Box will be open 24 hours a day, giving customers access to the restaurant's menu around the clock. Whether you are craving a late-night snack, an early morning breakfast, or something in between, the restaurant will be open and ready to serve.

Fingers crossed a Jack in the Box eventually makes its way to Genesee County. Until that happens, anyone looking to give the chain a try will have to hit the road. Considering most Michiganders have never eaten at one, I have a feeling plenty of people will be curious enough to make the trip.
