It looks like Genesse County will get its first heavy snowfall this week. The question is, how much will we see?

Don't freak out, it's not going to be an overwhelming amount. However, you might be out shoveling your driveway for the first time this season.

You have to admit, we've had it pretty good so far. Normally this time of year we've endured a few inches of snow by now...but not this year. Heck, temps, we're in the 70s just last week.

How Much Snow Will We Get This Week?

As of right now, Genesee County could see anywhere from 1-3" of snow Tuesday night. Light snow is possible on Wednesday and Thursday as well.

This is Michigan after all and a lot can change in 24 hours. We could end up just getting a dusting or we could end up with way more than predicted. Honestly, I don't think I'm ready for any of it just yet. Regardless of how I feel, it does look like we're going to see that 1-3" of snow, according to weather reports.

What Does the Farmer's Almanac Predict for This Winter?

When it comes to serious snowfall, the Farmer's Almanac says that our first major snowfall will come in December. We should expect cold and stormy weather nationwide.

In the Great Lakes region, we should expect an unreasonably cold and snowy winter.

I don't put a lot of faith in the Farmer's Almanac. They're always so vague and their predictions are always, well, very predictable. Of course, it's going to be a "cold and snowy winter", it's freaking winter.
