Big Boy In Owosso Appears to Have Closed
It appears that Big Boy in Owosso has closed.
Numerous Facebook posts shared the news over the weekend, including one on the Owosso News and Events page on Saturday, July 4, featuring a photo of the building with large chain locks on the doors.
I called the restaurant this morning after seeing the buzz online, but I wasn’t exactly shocked when no one answered.
It is always a bummer to see a local business close, especially when it means people in the community are out of a job. Restaurant closures don’t just affect the owners - they also impact the staff who counted on that place for employment.
You may recall that the Genesee County Big Boy location on Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc closed earlier this year and will be the new home of Anna’s Place. The spot is known for scratch-made breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes.

According to the official Big Boy website, the following locations are listed as open in Michigan. Please note that the site still includes Grand Blanc and Owosso as open, so some of these listings may not be accurate.
