What’s Up With Empty Bar Louie Location In Flint Township?

Bar Louie Tavern & Grill in Flint Township closed in 2020. In October of 2022, it appeared a national chain restaurant was moving into the location outside of the Genesee Valley Center.

Fast forward to September of 2023, and no restaurant has opened, and there has been no exact confirmation as to what (if any) national chain restaurants are opening in Flint Township.

Flint Township is home to several national chain restaurants. Applebee's, Red Robin, Red Lobster, and Olive Garden are already open and operating on Miller Road in Flint Township.

So what chain restaurant could be moving into the empty Bar Louie building? That is an excellent question. Perhaps one of the following,

• Whataburger
• Roy Rogers

Chances are the above spots are not opening. I also do not see an In-N-Out Burger opening in the Bar Louie location either. Fast food involves a drive-thru window, and I don't see a drive-thru in a mall parking lot happening.

What restaurant would you like to see open in its place? Maybe plans for a restaurant have been scrapped altogether. It's a shame to see the building empty, here's to hoping something super cool opens there soon.
