810 Munchies in Genesee County is once again offering free meals to the community.

The special-needs-friendly restaurant inside Flint’s Dort Mall recently announced news via its social media channels. If you know someone who could benefit from a free dinner, please spread the word.

When is the 810 Munchies Community Dinner?

The dinner will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, with meals served from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, or until the food is gone.

Dinner plates will include oven-roasted chicken, collard greens, pasta salad, and candied carrots.

Since opening in September 2025, 810 Munchies has worked hard to bring the community and families together. I was able to see first-hand how special this restaurant is during the grand opening.

810 Munchies owner, Steven Brewer, a father of two sons on the autism spectrum, searched for restaurants that specialized in welcoming families with special needs - but found none.

That is when he decided to take matters into his own hands and open 810 Munchies. Brewer and his staff are committed to ensuring that all families feel welcome and included.
