These guys are everywhere, and where there's one, there's usually more. Hitting a deer is bad enough, but hitting one at high speeds is even worse. Just keep a watchful eye out.

Mackinac and Mackinaw, for example... spelled differently but pronounced the same. Ypsilanti, Charlotte, Dowagiac, Sault Ste. Marie... YouTube is a huge help with these pronunciations.

The Michigan Left is Something We All Do Wrong, But in the Same Way

Michigan has this weird turn where if you want to turn left at an intersection, sometimes you have to drive through the intersection and then make a left turn in a median to actually go in the direction you want to go. For some reason, while this is meant to be one lane only, more often than not, drivers just kind of "create" two separate lanes both making left turns.
