When you hear the phrase, 'best pizza in Michigan', you probably think of Detroit, right? After all, there is delicious 'Detroit-style' pizza.

And you're not going to find any place in Michigan advertising "Flint-style" pizza... there is no Detroit versus Flint-style Coney dog fight happening here.

However, what is happening is here a ranking of 'best pizza cities across America, and it's interesting to see where Michigan cities fall on the list.

Recently, pizza oven manufacturer Pizzello put together a study to determine a ranking of the best pizza cities across America. To help make the determination, they tabulated average Google review scores.

What resulted was a ranking of 250 different cities. And in the ranking of those 250 cities, Michigan claims nine spots.

Near the bottom of the list at number 236 is Rochester Hills. The city you though would be higher on the list is Detroit, coming in at number 210. Try is up next with a rank of 185. Two cities close together on the list are Farmington Hills and Lansing, they rank a 166 and 162, respectively. Coming in just under the halfway mark is Dearborn with a rank of 128. Warren comes in at number 47, and Wyoming, MI comes in at number 43.

But the highest rated city from Michigan on this list of 'best pizza cities' is none other than Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids, aka Beer City U.S.A., can also claim pizza stardom too, I guess. Grand Rapids beats out all other Michigan cities with a rank of 30 out of 250.
