Remember When This Michigan Pizza Chain Made Chocolate Ravioli?
Michiganders can be pretty creative when it comes to creating dishes. We have all claimed ownership of the pasty, patented the Coney dog, and are even making vodka out of Paczki. But there was one menu item that was started by the Michigan-founded pizza chain, Little Caesars back in the mid-80s to the late 90s that was apparently leagues above the rest of the dessert options at other pizza chains.
It was dubbed: CHOCOLATE! CHOCOLATE! RAVIOLI! RAVIOLI! That’s right it was a chocolate ravioli. Now I know what you’re thinking, that sounds absolutely disgusting, but the ravioli wasn’t made of pasta, but white chocolate and the inside was some kind of milk chocolate cream filling, as many people remember fondly.
What Do The People Remember About These?
There are actually some people who have pretty great memories of this menu item:
I loved these. There were two raviolis in a package, and I always had to split them with my sister. Then one night, she was on a date or something, and my dad picked me up Little Caesars for dinner. I got the chocolate ravioli to myself, and I relished that moment. I was so sad when they were discontinued. Little Caesars used to be back in the 80s. I miss their pepperoni Crazy Bread too. -Sarah
Then sometimes ya gotta hoard what ya love:
They were amazing, I was told they were gonna stop making them and bought the entire case. They had around 100 left, but when they were gone, they were gone. -Mike
This wasn't a joke either, someone made a video going into detail about this discontinued menu item. I say they should bring it back.
