Surprising State Where U of M is Most Hated
There are lots of rivalries in college football but some states hate some schools more than others rivalry or not. There are a few states that have some hatred for U of M.
Rivalries
Rivalries are everywhere. Many start at home between siblings but many are associated with sports teams.
Of course, one of the most famous Michigan rivalries is between the University of Michigan and Michigan State University and all their sports programs.
The Michigan vs Ohio State rivalry runs deep and began in 1897 and is said to be one of the oldest rivalries in college football.
My longtime friend, mentor, and nationally syndicated radio host of Hard Drive Radio, Lou Brutus once asked me, "Tommy, what do Michigan and Notre Dame fans have in common?" I replied, "I don't know Lou." Lou said, They both can agree on one thing, their hatred of the Ohio State Buckeyes." Man did we laugh about that. The funny thing is Lou is a graduate of Ohio State and was the lead singer of a campus band called the Dead Shembechlers which poked fun at coach Bo Shembechler and the Michigan Wolverines. Miss ya Lou!

Surprising State Where U of M is Most Hated
I'm sure there is no love loss for U of M in Ohio but I'm a bit surprised about one of the three states in the graphic below that has a hatred for the Wolverines.
The Michigan Sucks Facebook page is always quick to point out anything negative about the Michigan Wolverines. Recently a most hated college football team in each state graphic went out and it looks like Ohio State is the top hated team by several states. I figured Ohio would be a hater of U of M and it is no surprise of Indiana's dislike for the Wolverines but North Dakota? Does Michigan even play any North Dakota teams in sports? I sure never remember the big Michigan vs North Dakota game do you?
Here is some of what people were saying on Facebook about the most hated colleges by other states. I did like the post from Shawn Murry about there needing to be a big blue dot in mid-Michigan. See more of this thread here.
