Top Michigan Ski Resorts Ranked Among The Best In The U.S. For 2024

With West Michigan likely getting its first snowfall tonight, it's time to start thinking about hitting the slopes!

Two Michigan Ski Resorts Voted Among Top Ten in U.S.

Two Mitten State ski resorts were competing to be the best in the U.S. in USA Today and 10best readers' polls.

A panel of experts chose twenty resorts in two categories - Best Cross Country Ski Resort and Best Ski Resort - and then it was put up to a public vote.

ABR Ski Trails Voted No. 2 Cross Country Ski Resort

ABR Ski Trails has been voted the No. 2 "Best Cross Country Ski Resort in the U.S."!

ABR is a full service ski touring center located on over 1100 scenic acres of varied terrain along the Montreal River in Ironwood, Mich.

USA Today praises the 1,100-acre ski center for it's 100km of cross country trails in the Montreal River Valley. In addition to classic striding trails, you'll also find combination skate/striding trails, 13km of snowshoeing trails, and trails for dog-pulled skijoring.

Mount Bohemia Voted No. 2 Ski Resort in U.S.

The other Michigan ski resort to be honored Mount Bohemia in Lac La Belle, Mich. It was voted the No. 2 "Best Ski Resort in the U.S." 

Mount Bohemia advertises extreme skiing and endless adventure. The resort claims to have the has the longest runs with the highest vertical and deepest powder in the Midwest.

According to USA Today, Mount Bohemia has the longest runs and most vertical drop of any ski area in the Midwest, at 900 feet.
