According to U.S. News, the rankings for the best U.S. High Schools have been released and 4 of the schools in the top 100 are in Michigan, with 1 of those being located in West Michigan.
#11 is the International Academy of Macomb in Clinton Township, offers an International Baccalaureate curriculum.
#21 is the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills, where every student participates in the International Baccalaureate program, which emphasizes academics alongside community service.
#48 is City High Middle School in Grand Rapids, students have the opportunity to take International Baccalaureate course work and exams.
#83 is Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy in Saginaw, where students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams.
