Is FaceApp Really a Russian App That Stores Our Information?

The panic was set off yesterday from a tweet...but is it legit?

So here's your answer - in short, NO...as far as we know. Yes, the developer is a Russian guy. Do they really need fullscale access to our photos? Probably to make the aged photo the best it can be, which is why we all shared it. So no, FaceApp is NOT sending your photos back to a Russian server.

But, of course, there ARE security concerns to be had, as with any app. It appears that we can all breathe easy, though. And keep sharing gross, old pics of ourselves.
