Online dating sites like Match.com and eHarmony have gone mainstream. In fact, some studies have suggested that up to 30 percent of recently married couples met over the Internet.

However a recent poll from Rasmussen Reports of 1,000 adults paints a different picture of finding love on the Web. It found that only 9 percent have ever used an online dating service. Furthermore, only 16 percent of the survey's respondents view online dating favorably.
