Great news for a Monday morning.

General Motors announced that the 2020 Cadillac CT5 will be built in Lansing at the Grand River Plant, thanks to a $211 million dollar investment.

GM says that this new Cadillac will compete with the BMW 3 series and the Mercedes Benz-C-Class.   This car will be powered by a turbo-charged engine and GM's10-speed automatic transmission.  GM is also offering it in a base model, Premium  Luxury and sport.

The car will debut at the New York Auto Show.  Cadillac says that the "CT5 showcases Cadillac's unique expertise in crafting American performance sedans.
