The city says that it will involve restriping and won't include ripping up any pavement.

Still, local business owners on Perry Road are concerned, including Scott Sassack of Great Harvest Bread Company.

The project, which could begin in June but doesn't have a set date yet, would bring the four lanes down to three - two including a turn lane.

Engineers say that the project will make the road safer, as there are a lot of accidents when the lanes merge into two.

From my personal experience, I can tell you that people get really nasty when it comes to that turn lane. A lot of the problems seem to stem from driver error and road rage and NOT the road itself, but who knows. Maybe this will help, maybe it won't.
