Genesee County Commissioner Brenda Clark is hosting a graduation ceremony for the Youth Leadership Institute class of 2014. The Youth Leadership Institute is a nonprofit organization that provides leadership training and is designed to promote positive community leadership for Flint students in grades 9-12. The program is an eight week commitment and the students are selected based on a variety of indicators that include leadership potential and referrals. Commissioner Clark is asking for the public's help in support of this worthwhile project saying "we hope that you will join with us in meeting the challenge of training leaders for tomorrow." The graduation ceremony takes place on April 17, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Michigan-Flint Michigan Rooms A&B located at 303 E. Kearsley St in Flint.
