The Michigan State Police (MSP) announced today that 32-year-old James Kenneth Seeley was arraigned earlier in 68th District Court on two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, one count of Felony Firearm and one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Seeley is suspected of shooting a 14-year-old child in Flint on September 29th. The MSP says that detectives who arrived at the shooting scene were assisted by residents who directed officers to the suspect's location. A search warrant was then executed at a residence on the 1500 block of Arizona and Seeley was arrested. Detectives also seized three weapons and ammunition from the home.

The MSP said the public's willingness to provide tips in the case aided in the quick arrest of the suspect.
