Flint and Lapeer are ready to rally around Andre Rison and Jake Long during their bid to get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Hall just introduced their "Modern Era Nominees" for the potential class of 2022. The HOF announced the list, which consists of 122 players, including Andre Rison and Jake Long. The voting is going on right now, and that list of 122 will be narrowed to only 25 semifinalists in November, and again to 15 finalists in January. We can worry about those steps later, because for now we need to get voting.

The HOF has also put together a pretty cool contest for anyone that takes time to vote.

Win an All-Inclusive VIP Enshrinement Fan Package for Two (2) for the full Hall of Fame experience! Plus, 10 winners will get to experience and enjoy a share of $3,000 in gift cards for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Store.

As you can see by the number of great players on the list, getting into the HOF is no easy task. Rison is one of 18 receivers hoping to advance in the fan voting. Long is one of 19 offensive linemen on the list, and this is Long's first year of eligibility. The process is lengthy, in depth, and a little confusing if you're not familiar with how it works. Luckily the HOF site does a good job of breaking down exactly what happens after fan voting is complete.

Eighteen Finalists will be presented to the full 49-member Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee during its annual meeting. The Finalists will consist of 15 Modern-Era Finalists and the recently named Senior Finalist, Cliff Branch; Contributor Finalist, Art McNally; and Coach Finalist, Dick Vermeil.

The Senior Finalist, Contributor Finalist and Coach Finalist are voted “yes” or “no” for election at the annual selection meeting and must receive at least 80% support from the Committee to be elected. The Modern-Era Finalists will be trimmed during the meeting from 15 to 10, then from 10 to five. The remaining five Finalists will be voted on individually, “yes” or “no,” and must receive the same 80% positive vote as the Senior, Contributor and Coach Finalists to earn election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022 will be enshrined in August 2022.

If you soaked all that in, good for you! If not, let's just get back to the task at hand. We all need to get onto the HOF Fan Voting site, and cast as many votes as possible for both Andre Rison and Jake Long.
