Flint Firebirds Host Annual Teddy Bear Toss and Old Newsboys Nights
The Firebirds are back in action at home this Friday and Saturday.
There is nothing like a good Flint Firebirds hockey game this time of year! Coming up this weekend, the Firebirds will be back in action on home ice at the Dort Financial Center. Friday night is the annual Teddy Bear Toss and Saturday is Old Newsboys Night. So gather up your teddy bears and toys and head to the games.

Gather up your teddy bears and head to Dort Financial Center on Friday, December 12th, 2021 as the Firebirds take on the Owen Sound Attack. Bring a new or gently used teddy bear and when the Firebirds score their first goal of the night, throw that teddy bear donation on the ice. All of the donated teddy bears will be donated to the Old Newsboys of Flint, the YWCA, Hurley Medical Center, and other local businesses and charities.
The game will start at 7 pm and it is also Family 4-Pack Friday. You and your family can get a 4-pack of tickets to the game for as little as $72.
Saturday night is Old Newsboys Night at Dort Financial Center.
It's another game against the Owen Sound Attack this Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at Dort Financial Center. Saturday night is also Old Newsboys Night. Fans that bring a toy ($10 minimum encouraged) to donate to the Old Newsboys will receive a free ticket to the game courtesy of Dort Financial Credit Union. Toys will be taken before the game at the Firebirds merchandise store, "The Birds Nest."
The Firebirds will also be wearing special Santa jerseys during the game that will then be auctioned off to fans after the game. Those proceeds will also benefit the Old Newsboys of Flint. The puck drops Saturday night at 7 pm.
