Say what you want, but turning themselves in is a step in the right direction.

Five people (four of them being Flint residents) turned themselves in yesterday and admitted to the vandalism of the Berston Field House basketball court.

They range in age from 17-23 years old; a statement from the field house and the city said, “Each of the young women and young men apologized, truthfully told officials from the city and Berston Field House what happened, and came forward with a sincere desire to make right what they had done wrong.”

The court was installed last October at a cost of $44,000. It was made possible by a grant from the National Basketball Players Association.
