
Fenton City Council Adopts Anti-Discrimination Ordinance
On Monday night, the Fenton City Council voted 7-0 to adopt an anti-discrimination ordinance. According to ABC 12, it would ban housing and employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. The proposal, which is expected to take effect by mid-July, includes some exemptions for religious organizations. Fenton is now the 33rd community in Michigan to adopt such an ordinance.
