The Detroit Lions just announced they will not place the franchise tag on Ndamukong Suh. Sources to the team believe the Lions will reach an agreement with Suh really soon.

Suh would like to be the highest paid defensive lineman in the NFL and rightfully deserves it. The Lions can not let Suh slip through his hands. There are fans of the NFL who honestly believes 2010 draft pick by the Lions has character issues. Some of those beliefs are valid, others are media driven.

If the Lions Den would have franchised Suh, they would have to have paid him $27 million for just one year. We should expect a deal to be done by March 10th at 4pm.

Do you think Suh should stay in Detroit or is he too much of a risk?
