Hundreds gathered at Abernathy Park on Friday night, in honor of Omarion "Mars" Humphrey.

It was originally supposed to be a community event for Omarion's safe return, but after his body was found, it turned into a prayer vigil.

Davison Mayor Tim Bishop said, "We came out for the search, a lot of people came out, a lot of people from out of town, so we felt we wanted to come together one more time."

Following Omarion's death, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is investigating whether Burton-based Alternatives for Children & Families adequately  investigated the foster home where Omarion was been placed.

As sad as this story is, the support has been overwhelming. I saw a lot of online comments from people who said that they felt as though they lost one of their own. The community really came together for this. Rest in peace, Mars.
