Students who are planning a career in music will learn what it takes to work in the music industry at an open house hosted by the Mott Community College music department this week.

Attendees will be able to meet with faculty and current students while also learning about MCC's two music degrees - the Music Technology Associate Degree in Applied Science that prepares students for careers in music production, recording and audio engineering and the Music Associate in Fine Arts Degree, designed for students who plan to transfer to a university, college of conservatory and major in music.

There will also be performances from faculty and current students, followed by a question and answer session about the degree programs and tours of the campus and music facilities. There is no cost to attend and free parking is available. The open house is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11th and begins in the Mott Memorial Building Auditorium.
