Boys & Girls Club Steel Drum Band to Perform Next Week

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint Steel Drum Band will perform in concert next week. The group will join Jim Coviak and Friends Caribbean Jazz at the Clio Amphitheater. Coviak and Friends have been mentoring the Boys & Girls Club members leading up to the concert and the two bands will perform separately and as a combined group. The groups will perform a mix of jazz, Caribbean and pop tunes. The event, which is made possible through the Greater Flint Arts Council and Ruth Mott Foundation, takes place on Monday, August 11th at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. and admission to the concert is free.
