Beyonce Asks Young Voters to Hit the Polls on Election Day
After championing the presidency of Barack Obama, Beyonce is now working diligently in cajoling young voters to hit the booth on Nov. 8 to make a change in this year's upcoming election.
"It can be easy to feel helpless and want to just block the world out, but doing nothing right now is not an option y'all," she said. "I know it seems like things are bad, but if you think they can't get worse, just ask your grandparents. Remember Barack Obama is our president. You made that happen, young people made that happen. We are not helpless. The fire is still burning. Please go out and vote. So many people have died and sacrificed so much for us to have our voice, we have to use it."
Recently, Beyonce's husband Jay Z promised to perform in Ohio this week in hopes of getting black voters to stand by Hillary Clinton on Nov. 8. In addition, Beyonce attended the presidential hopeful's fundraiser not too long ago. While the star-studded couple hasn't been as vocal as they previously been in recent elections, they are now becoming more vocal in hopes of securing votes from African-Americans.
