Weekend Box Office: ‘Green Lantern’ Dims in Theaters
As expected, ‘Green Lantern’ was the number one movie at the box office this weekend, taking in a slightly underwhelming $52.7 million, according to weekend estimates.
That number marks the lowest opening for a superhero movie this summer, behind ‘Thor’ ($66 million) ‘X-Men: First Class’ ($56 million).

Moviegoers will have much to choose from this weekend – the first being the much-anticipated blockbuster ‘The Green Lantern,’ starring Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.
Though the movie wasn’t exactly praised by critics, the hype surrounding the comic-book adaptation should translate into a lot of, well, green at the box office.

Now that he’s out of a job, Anthony Weiner has reportedly been approached by various people for work, including ‘Entourage’ creator Doug Ellin.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ellin reached out to Weiner about playing himself on an upcoming episode of the show’s eighth and final season.

A leather-clad Gaga spends much of the video dancing (crawling?) around on a fire escape, which may not necessarily please fans who prefer her antics in, say, ‘Judas.’

Rep. Anthony Weiner has reportedly told friends that he will resign from office, a source close to the situation revealed to the NY Times.
The decision was reportedly made after “long discussions” with his wife, Huma Abedin, who returned to the States Tuesday after a trip to Africa with her boss, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
