Sure, American Horror Story: Hotel can serve up spooky teasers all the live-long day, but when it comes to footage, FX is finally allowing fans to check in. Ring the bell for your official first look at Season 5, and preview what Sarah Paulson calls the bloodiest, hottest season yet.

FX’s new American Horror Story: Hotel first look finally shows us both the interior of the titular establishment, as well as our first footage interspersed between interviews with the cast and crew. A closer look at Denis O’Hare’s “Elizabeth Taylor” sees the actor describing the hotel as a “living, breathing beast”, while we also get a first look at what appears to be the “Addiction Demon” (sadly lacking in drillbit dildo), and our nightmares have already begun.

Oh, and for good measure, here’s another spooky teaser, this time with Lady Gaga dancing to Rammstein. Sure. Why not.

Debuting on October 7, so reads the American Horror Story: Hotel premiere synopsis:

“Checking In”

Detective and family man John Lowe investigates a chain of gruesome murders in Los Angeles. A mysterious tip points him to the enigmatic Hotel Cortez.

Written by Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk; directed by Ryan Murphy.

Elsewhere, the Hotel cast thus far includes Max Greenfield, Cheyenne Jackson and Lady Gaga, returning Coven alum Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Asylum star Chloe Sevigny, Freak Show guests Finn Wittrock, Matt Bomer and Wes Bentley, and franchise regulars Lily Rabe, Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson. FX boss John Landgraf described American Horror Story Season 5 as an “unusually large reinvention” of the series, while Jessica Lange remains open to appearances in future seasons.

Season 5 will premiere on October 7, but what can we make of the latest look at American Horror Story: Hotel?
