I know this sounds too good to be true, but it's a real thing.

If you have ever dreamed of moving abroad, this is your chance. A mayor in an Italian village is offering people who want to move to a Northwestern Village some money for doing so. Under the proposed plan, if you move to Bormida Italy and buy or rent a house, the mayor will give you $2176.70 (in US dollars).

The Italian village currently has 394 residents, and is losing its population. The proposed plan is meant to help retain the population of the small village.

If you wondering what the cost of living is over there, and how far that $2,000 will get you. Rent varies from $50 to $130. Even if you rent a more expensive home, the money they give you would cover 16 months rent.

Are you ready to pack your bags?
