The City of Flint has announced that the Water Advisory Committee - formed to help aid in communication between the residents and the city - will hold its second meeting on Thursday.

The committee is expected to be updated on the current status of improvements to the water system, the next steps to be taken including cost and timing estimates, and responses to questions asked at the previous meeting. The committee will also be provided with a budget overview and cost breakdowns. All meetings by the Water Advisory Committee are open to the public. Thursday's meeting will be held at the Flint Public Library beginning at 2 p.m. Meetings are expected to be held on a regular basis until Flint is receiving its water from the Karegnondi Water Authority, which is anticipated in 2016.
