It is shaping up to be one of the biggest games this year in the Big Ten.  Michigan against Michigan State on February 24th.  The Wolverines are set to wear throwback jerseys for the game.

According to Detroit Sports Nation, the Wolverines will wear their 1989 jerseys for the game against the Spartans.

1989 was the year Michigan beat Seton Hall to win the national championship.  The team was coached by Steve Fisher in the tournament and featured players like Glen Rice, Rumeal Robinson, Loy Vaught and Terry Mills.

The upcoming game will be in Ann Arbor and will be the first of two meetings between the two top ten ranked teams.   The other match up for Michigan and Michigan State will be on March 9th in East Lansing.

That game will be the final regular season game for both teams and could possibly decide the regular season champion for the Big Ten.
